Lotus - expanding locally, contributing globally

Following my visit to Hethel Innovation I also had the pleasure of visiting neighbouring manufacturer and engineering specialist Group Lotus, which is also making significant progress here in South Norfolk thanks to recent investment by Geely Global.

Lotus is now preparing to manufacture its extraordinary all-electric Evija supercar, which will be the most powerful production car in the world, and also has advanced plans for the next generation of lifestyle electric vehicles.

I welcome the collaboration between Lotus and Hethel Innovation as we build back better from the pandemic and supercharge local growth here in South Norfolk.

I will continue talking to my colleagues in Government about the opportunities created by Hethel Innovation and Lotus, including high value jobs and investment and support for both South Norfolk and across the eastern region.
