He is an active member of many farming groups and agricultural charities whilst continuing to grow a highly successful pig-farming business. Mr Richardson produces the pork for the Budgens supermarket, which only stocks British meat and feature his face on its packaging. Mr Bacon said today: “This is a special honour which Philip richly deserves. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of the British pig industry and helped to build awareness of the importance of locally produced food. I thank him for all his hard work on behalf of both farmers and consumers”.
