Richard Bacon MP & fiancee Victoria Panton
Richard and Victoria have named their son Rollo William

SOUTH NORFOLK MP Richard Bacon has announced he is now a proud father after his wife Victoria gave birth to their first child.

Rollo William Bacon was born  at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in the early hours of Monday 23 April - St. George's Day - weighing 6lbs, 110z.

Mr Bacon said: “Mother and baby are doing fine.  This is something we have been looking forward to for a long time and we are delighted”.
 

“We are calling him Rollo William, named after several grandparents and great grandparents including my great grandfather William Bacon of Norwich”.

“William was chosen because both Victoria and I have close relatives called William, and it is even more appropriate as 23 April is also William Shakespeare’s birthday!”.
