Richard Bacon MP (right) prepares to cut the ribbon on the refurbished Bressingham village shop |
South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon has officially re-opened the Bressingham village shop. Mr Bacon cut the ribbon on the refurbished store and congratulated owners Ray and Christine Church on their hard work in getting the shop running again. The future of the shop had been in doubt after the loss of the village's sub-post office caused the store’s previous owners to call it a day. |

Mr Bacon said: “The village store is genuinely the hub of the community, so it is marvellous to see people taking on a village shop, especially in this difficult economic climate.” “I applaud Ray and Christine Church for their hard work and wish them every success for the future.” 20 November 2008
