Richard Bacon MP and pupils at Brockdish Primary School Open Day |
SOUTH NORFOLK MP Richard Bacon has joined pupils, staff and parents at Brockdish Primary School to celebrate their Open Day. Mr Bacon saw how the school’s interactive whiteboards are used to help the children learn about the world around them. He was also told that the newly installed video conferencing |

system will soon link this small village school with other schools around the country and abroad so the children can become familiar with different lifestyles and cultures. After visiting the excellent library, Mr Bacon then had a question and answer session with some of the older children. The questions ranged from what car Mr Bacon drives (a blue mini) to his favourite part of the job as a Member of Parliament, which is helping local people. Mr Bacon said: “I congratulate headteacher Peter Lacey-Hastings on creating a wonderful atmosphere and providing excellent teaching standards at Brockdish Primary School. The number of children attending the school at present is low, but I am sure the hard work put in by Mr Lacey-Hastings since taking over as headteacher, together with his committed members of staff, will see continued improvements at the school”.
