SOUTH NORFOLK MP Richard Bacon joined carers and support organisations at the Carers Week Roadshow which finished its week-long tour of the county at Diss Mere's Mouth on Friday 17 June. Carers Week is an annual event to raise awareness of carers who look after a sick or disabled relative, partner or friend and the issues that affect them. <>up and 2,000 sun visors have been |

There are an estimated six million carers in Britain today, many of whom do not recognise themselves as carers and are not aware of the support on offer. A wide range of carer support organisations were represented at the Roadshow. These included Norwich & District Carers Forum, Norfolk Carers Agency Partnership and Crossroads. Mr Bacon said: “Carers make a valuable contribution to our society and there are many of them in South Norfolk. I urge carers to make sure they get all the support they can by contacting any of these organisations which are all keen to help”.
