SOUTH NORFOLK MP Richard has added his voice to those urging for the closure threat on Hartismere Hospital to be lifted.

Mr Bacon said: “Many people in South Norfolk have benefited from the NHS beds at Hartismere Hospital. The hospital also plays a vital role in taking some of the huge pressure for beds away from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital”.

Local residents fear that the hospital will be sold to the highest bidder for property development regardless of the facilities needed in the area.

Mr Bacon said: “I have written to the Health Secretary and to the Chief Executive of the East Suffolk Primary Trust voicing my concerns. It is vital that local views and needs are considered”.
