Diss residents have been thrown into chaos by repeated power cuts

South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon is demanding an explanation from EDF Energy after local firms in Diss were thrown into chaos by repeated power cuts.

Many businesses on the Diss industrial estate have been without power for most of the day following repeated power failures, causing loss of production and damage to expensive machinery. Shops and offices in the town have also been affected.

 


Mr Bacon, whose office is in Diss, said:

“EDF are failing their customers in Diss. This is not the first time that people in the town have been so badly affected by repeated power cuts. When customers try to find out what is going on they are faced with a recorded message on an answering machine, which gives out inaccurate information about when service will be restored”.

“This is simply not good enough. I have asked EDF Energy for an urgent explanation”.
