South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon is chairing a public meeting with EDF Energy at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday 1 February 2007 at the Park Hotel, Diss to discuss the recent spate of power cuts in Diss and the surrounding villages.

The meeting is open to all residents and businesses affected by the cuts.

Mr Bacon said: “Residents were inconvenienced for many hours while local businesses suffered a serious loss of production and had delicate and expensive machinery damaged as a result of the electricity cuts.

“This meeting is your chance to hear what EDF Energy intends to do for residents and local businesses who have been subjected to lengthy power cuts over the past few months and how they are going to prevent more power failures in the future. Come and have your say - everyone is welcome”.
