European Scrutiny Committee

The European Scrutiny Committee monitors the activities of UK Ministers in the European Union's Council of Ministers. It also assesses the legal and political importance of EU documents, including draft legislation, and decides which EU documents are debated. The committee keeps legal, procedural and institutional developments in the EU under review.
